Nothing says Atlanta like The Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show. Now in its 68th year, the annual extravaganza is the largest of its kind dedicated to African-American hair, health, beauty and entrepreneurship.
I had the pleasure of attending the first day of the Mid-Winter show on Saturday and had a blast. My morning began with an exclusive Blogger Breakfast presented by this year’s official host, James Bronner along with artistic style director for Soft Sheen-Carson, Johnny Wright. During the event, Wright presented the Hydra Steam Moisturizing System, one of the newest and most innovative hair care products from Soft Sheen-Carson. Wright is also an accomplished hairstylist whose clientele includes the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.

After breakfast, ItsRobinLori and I headed over to the exhibit hall of activities at the GA World Congress Center which featured an array of hair, health and beauty vendors. There were also photo and autograph opportunities with a number of Atlanta celebrities including Derek J (Bravo’s Fashion Queens) and LaTavia Roberson (R&B Divas) as well as media personalities Big Tigger, Wanda Smith and Stacii Jae Johnson.

Bovanti Cosmetics presented a “Name Your Face” makeup competition which was judged by celebrity hair and fashion maven, Dwight Eubanks. Former Atlanta Falcons player, Michael Vick was also there to introduce his new line of men’s hairbrushes titled, Wave Masterz.
I also had the opportunity to go behind-the-scenes and capture images of the Bronner Bros. models getting prepared for the highly anticipated Parade of Exotic Hair and Fashions. This is the highlight of the entire show and has become its trademark over the years.
Also spotted were reality stars Gocha, Shekinah Jo, and Tiny Harris. Closing out the Saturday evening was a star-studded concert featuring comedians Steve and Cocoa Brown and Grammy-winning singer and reality star, Monica.
