In July, we reported that the producing team behind Red Tails  and the new satirical comedy, Dear White People  (in theaters now) had released a pilot presentation titled, Bros Before Hos.  Now it appears that HBO has acquired the project and will develop it as a future series.

According to THR, the cable giant purchased the show from producing partners Anthony Hemingway, Mark Taylor and Lena WaitheBros Before Hos  follows three brothers—two straight, one gay—who struggle with modern-day issues in Los Angeles while trying to find love. The show was created to “try and reach the widest audience possible in order to show the wit and complexities of people of color and people within the LGBT community.”

Bros Before Hos  stars Dijon Talton, Kevin Phillips, Americo “Tuffy” Questall, Dana Sorman, Nia Jervier and Kristopher Gordon.  The project was written and created by Benjamin Cory Jones.
