Celebrity Mom and Grammy winning artist Monica is joining forces with former CNN news anchor TJ Holmes and TV One news anchor Roland Martin for the 2014 Box Tops for Education program.
The event will feature Clark Atlanta University President Dr. Carlton E. Brown, Ronald Skeete of Children’s Aid Society and 2014 Georgia Teacher of the Year Jemelleh Coes for a discussion about our nation’s most valuable resource: our children.
The town hall is inspired by the Box Tops for Education program, created by General Mills as an easy way for community members to support schools. Each participating brand carries a “Box Top” coupon worth 10 cents to a school, and unrestricted funds earned by submitting the Box Tops to General Mills can be used to purchase books, school supplies, playground equipment, teacher training, computers, etc.
“At Box Tops for Education®, we believe every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential. We are thrilled to be able to rally the community behind our purpose and talk about ways to ensure that children receive the best education possible,” said marketing manager Tsubasa Tanaka.
The invitation-only event will be made available for viewing via webcast on Hello Beautiful.
