Variety is reporting that comedians Jamie Foxx and Kevin Hart are reportedly joining forces for Will Packer’s ‘Black Phantom.’ The Screen Gems production will reteam Hart with the Atlanta-based super producer and his first time with Foxx.
Black Phantom follows a double-crossed mob hitman who enlists the help of the Black Phantom, the same African-American hitman who had been sent to kill him.
Packer will produce the film alongside Will Gluck and with Tim Story in talks to direct.
Hart has been enjoying a string of hit films recently with Ride Along opening in January, About Last Night in February and Think Like a Man Too, which hits theaters June 20. He has also launched a new digital comedy network and has a new series coming to ABC, titled Keep it Together.
Foxx is also gearing up for some new releases of his own including Annie and The Amazing Spider-man 2.
RC will keep you posted as this continues to develop.
