Say it Ain’t So!
Robin Thicke and Paula Patton are calling it quits after nine years of marriage. The “Blurred Lines” singer and About Last Night star confirmed the sad news to PEOPLE in an exclusive statement on Monday. “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,” said the couple.
Reportedly, the pair meet when they were teenagers ( Thicke was 14 and Patton was 16) and have been together ever since. The two made it official in 2005 and welcomed their son Julian Fuego Thicke, three years later in April 2010.
Thicke was supposed to kick-off his national tour in Atlanta last Friday but cancelled that show and a performance in Orlando after claiming he lost his voice. However, the AJC is reporting (by way of TMZ) that the cancelled show dates were because he flew to Vancouver, where Patton is filming a movie, to try to dissuade her from separating.
