Indie Wire is reporting that Tony-winning actress Condola Rashad (pictured above) will star in the upcoming Fox series Hieroglyph.  Rashad will play the role of Nefertari (not to be confused with Nefertiti) and is being described as “a rare beauty who intimidates even the strongest suitors…and she knows it.” The combination fantasy/reality will follow a notorious thief who leaves prison to serve the Pharaoh played by Reece Ritchie. Rashad is currently on Broadway starring Romeo & Juliet  with Orlando Bloom.

Hip-hop actress EVE is headed back to television in an untitled comedy for ABC. According to Indie Wire, the show will focus on interracial relationships and is based on EVE’s real-life romance with fiancé and British fashion designer, Maximillion Cooper. Reportedly, EVE will star in and produce the show along with Kaplan Entertainment.

Keke Palmer is set to star in a March episode of Grey’s Anatomy.  According to THR, Palmer will play a pregnant teenager who seeks help from the Grey Sloan Memorial doctors. Reportedly, the show is one of many episodes that creator, Shonda Rhimes has dedicated to social ills.  “There are so many problems in the world that there’s a lot that can be tackled,” said Rhimes to THR  in October.  Grey’s Anatomy  officially returns to ABC on Feb. 27 at 9 p.m.
