It looks like former comedian turned talk show host Steve Harvey has found another home in UP. The faith-based cable channel known for “uplifting entertainment” has acquired prior seasons of Harvey’s hit daytime show “Steve Harvey”  from NBC Universal Television & New Media Distribution.  The show will premiere on UP on Saturday, January 4 with a marathon of episodes from the show’s premiere season before settling into its regular weeknight time slot on Monday, January 6.

Leslie Glenn Chesloff, UP’s executive vice president, programming, said, “The acquisition of ‘Steve Harvey’ brings a fresh, relevant and widely popular series to the network.  Steve Harvey is a phenomenal and uplifting brand that aligns perfectly with our network’s mission.  The ‘Steve Harvey’ daytime show engages a diverse audience with discussions of relevant topics that affect everyone’s lives.  The show is a great, new addition to our line-up.”

UP’s “Steve Harvey” marathon will begin at 3 p.m. EST on Saturday, January 4 and the series will then air on weeknights at 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., and the show will also air on Saturdays.
