Congratulations to Steve Harvey! The comedian turned talk show host recently announced that he would sit down in an hour-long one-on-one with President Barack Obama. Harvey tweeted the big news on Friday and posted the above photo with the following caption: “Just finished an interview w/ President @BarackObama ! Can’t wait 4 u all 2 see it next Friday, 12/20 ! “
EW is reporting that this will be the first time Obama has appeared on Harvey’s show which is currently in its second season and was just renewed through 2016. First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on the show in October 2012. Reportedly, Harvey will talk to POTUS about family, fatherhood and plans for the holidays. He also said in a statement that “sitting down with the President is something I’ve always dreamt of doing, and I am honored to have the opportunity.”
Lastly, Harvey’s show will also be seen on the UP channel beginning January 2014. As previously reported, Steve Harvey will premiere on UP on Saturday, January 4 with a marathon of episodes from the show’s premiere season before settling into its regular weeknight time slot on Monday, January 6.
Kudos once again and looking forward to seeing the episode on Friday, December 20!
