Hold up, wait a minute! (As said in my best Tasha Mack voice)
TV One has announced that it’s adding two new divas to its hugely successful spin-off R&B Divas: LA. Neo-Soul princesses, Chrisette Michele and Leela James are officially joining the cast for season two, which will reportedly start production next month in Los Angeles.
So who else in? Chante Moore, Lil’ Mo, Michel’le and Claudette Ortiz have all signed up for another season, which means Kelly Price and Dawn Robinson are out!
According to D’Angela Proctor, SVP Programming and Production at TV One, the two new additions are just what the series needed to keep fans of the show on their toes.
“The debut season of R&B Divas LA set the tone as a series all about glamour and high-stakes drama. As we gear up to shoot season two, we anticipate that the addition of two lovely and respected solo artists, Chrisette and Leela, will build upon the impassioned, ever-evolving group dynamic that season one viewers embraced,” says Proctor.
So what do you think about these two new divas? Who would you have picked to replace Kelly “I’m booked” Price and Dawn “I’m scared” Robinson?
