Gabrielle Union is “drowning in a sea of her own thoughts” in a new promo for the upcoming BET drama, Being Mary Jane. The 40-something year old actress, who is rocking the December issue of ESSENCE, is sitting in a tub full of floating post-it notes inscribed with inspirational quotes and messages.
Union told US Weekly in July that Being Mary Jane was just the “pick-me-up” she needed after losing the role of Olivia Pope to Kerry Washington.
“I didn’t get Scandal, but I got something better — which is my own show,” Union added. “It’s all about building a legacy. This new opportunity is something I feel that can grow.”
