BV is reporting that former South African president Nelson Mandela was released from a Pretoria hospital on early Sunday morning. He is currently at his Johannesburg home where he will continue to receive intensive care.

According to the country’s president,  Jacob Zuma, the revered anti-apartheid leader still remains in critical condition but is recouping after having been hospitalized since June 8 for what is being described as a recurring lung infection.

“His home has been reconfigured to allow him to receive intensive care there,” the statement said. “The health care personnel providing care at his home are the very same who provided care to him in hospital. If there are health conditions that warrant another admission to hospital in future, this will be done.”

RC would like to extend our prayers and warm wishes to Mr. Mandela and hope for a speedy recovery.
