The second season of TV One’s comedy series, The Rickey Smiley Show premiere’s this Friday, July 26 at 9 p.m.
The show, which is loosely based on the real-life experiences and antics of the comedian, TV and radio personality Rickey Smiley, returns with its all-star cast including Ray J, J. Anthony Brown, Roz Ryan, and Demetria McKinney.
This new season will also feature a number of familiar faces as guest stars on the show including a few Real Housewives of Atlanta, some R&B Divas, a couple of rappers and a special appearance by Pastor Creflo Dollar, who I heard should consider stand-up as a side gig.
Recently, I caught up with the Smiley to discuss the exciting show details, his future projects and the advice he has for aspiring comedians. I also couldn’t resist asking him about his infamous prank phone calls and the one he considers his most memorable. Let’s just say that I was in stitches by the end of conversation.
