Indie Wire is confirming that Nene Leakes is indeed getting her own reality series this fall. The working title of the show is “I Dream of Nene: The Wedding” and it follows the New Normal star as she plans the wedding of a lifetime to ex-husband Greg Leakes.
According to the Bravo press release, Leakes is enlisting the help of celebrity wedding planner Tiffany Cook along with gal pals Cynthia Bailey and Marlo Hampton. She is also going to start her second marriage to Greg with a clean slate by renewing her relationship with his children and reuniting with her father figure Curtis.
I Dream of Nene: The Wedding is being produced by True Entertainment and NeNe Leakes Productions for Bravo. Way to go Nene!
In other reality show news, rising music vocalist K. Michelle is calling it quits after two seasons on VH1’s Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta. As previously reported, Michelle was a no show at this week’s season two preview party, which left many of us wondering if she was still a cast member. Now Michelle is confirming that she is definitely not returning to the series, calling the show toxic. “If I know something is unhealthy for me why keep doing it?”
Michelle, however, is not ruling out reality TV all together and teases that we haven’t seen the last of her. “I’m not saying that I’m not dealing with other ventures with VH1 and Mona [Scott Young, the show’s creator]…. You might see me in Love & Hip Hop New York. You never know.”
Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta Season two premieres Monday, April 22!
