Good News for Jamie Foxx!

The versatile actor is reportedly in negotiations to star in the new hip-hop film version of the Broadway musical Annie. As previously reported, Oscar-nominated actress Quvenzhane Wallis replaced Willow Smith as the cute little red-haired orphan in this Will Smith/Jay-Z creation.

According to THR, Foxx’s character, Benjamin Stacks is a variation of the Daddy Warbucks personage, who takes in the spunky orphan girl being played by Wallis. Reportedly, the Amazing Spiderman 2 star has received an offer from the studio and sources say his team has begun to negotiate. The film is being produced by Smith’s company Overbrook Entertainment.
