More star power has been added to VH1’s “Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story.”
As previously reported, Evan Ross will play rising music producer and songwriter Dallas Austin.
Now, actress Rochelle Aytes of Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion, has been added to the film as Peri “Pebbles” Reid, the R&B recording artist and then-wife of music mogul L.A. Reid. Pebbles was the group’s first manager and signed the trio to her management and production company, Pebatone.
Also on board is former “Martin” star Carl Payne, who will portray L.A. Reid. Reid was co-founder of LaFace Records, which signed TLC in partnership with Pebatone.
Production has already started on the film and will be executive produced by Chilli and T-Boz.
