LeBron James was the first athlete with beats by Dr. Dre headphones.  Now everyone has them

Every year ESPN Magazine uses their “Music Issue” to bring together the worlds of sports and music.  This year, NBA champion LeBron James and legendary music producer Dr. Dre connect for the cover.

In ESPN The Magazine’s Music Issue, J. Freedom Du Lac writes how Beats by Dre headphones have changed the way athletes listen to music. Read the story, then check out the behind-the-scenes video and James’/Dre’s playlist (below):

The issue hits newsstands on February 8th, LeBron and Dre talk about their partnership concerning Dre’s Beats by Dre headphones.  In the mag, the two talk about their business relationship and share some songs they love to work out to.

And just in case you were wondering if King James would ever drop a record, he suggests “If Doc lay the track and my big bro Jay [as in Jay-Z] write me some lyrics? …” You’ll have to imagine the rest, folks.
