ESSENCE.com is reporting that R&B/Pop legend Janet Jackson will be recognized for her contributions to the fight against AIDS at this year’s amfAR Gala. The recently engaged singer will be saluted along with fashion designer Kenneth Cole and Project Runway’s Heidi Klum.
The event will take place on Wednesday, February 6, the day before New York Fashion week. Tickets for the event range from $1,500 to $75,000.
Jackson, who has been a staunch supporter of HIV/AIDS awareness and advocacy, most recently appeared in a PSA for amfAR last December in support of World AIDS Day. Check it out below:
