Drink and snack giant Pepsi will roll out a billion cans with a silhoutte of Michael Jackson following an agreement with his estate. The newly launched global marketing campaign, Live For Now, will pump life into the Cola company.
Jackson signed onto a Pepsi sponsorship deal in 1984 for a then-record $5 million; the current deal PepsiCo and Jackson’s estate agreed upon has not been disclosed.
Will this new campaign revive PepsiCo? One should hope so…the company is boosting its overall marketing budget by $600 million this year! PepsiCo has been losing ground behind archrival Coca-Cola Co; the new campaign will ramp up spending on its flagship cola and in turn will increase sales.
