Check out Shanice Williams and Stephanie Mills tag team on The Wiz’s signature song, “Home.” NBC released the video earlier this evening and it’s already been shared by 4K Facebook fans.
Williams will star as “Dorothy” in this retelling of the Broadway classic that airs less than three weeks from now on December 3. Mills, who originated the role on Broadway in 1975 will star as “Aunt Em.”
The Wiz Live also stars David Alan Grier as the Lion, Ne-Yo as the Tin Man, Elijah Kelley as the Scarecrow, Mary J. Blige as Evillene the Wicked Witch of the West, Common as the Royal Gatekeeper, Uzo Aduba as Glinda the Witch of the South, Amber Riley as Addaperle the Witch of the North and Queen Latifah as The Wiz.
If this is any indication of what’s to come on December 3, then we’re in for a treat!
