Mary J. Blige is the latest music star to join a singing competition show: NBC’s The Voice.
MJB will serve as an adviser to Adam Levine’s team when the series returns for its 3rd season this fall.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige,” said the Maroon 5 frontman, who counted Robin Thicke and Alanis Morrisette among his advisers last season. “So it’s been great having her on The Voice as an adviser to my team.”
RollingStone also reports, the pair have already started filming together, with Blige adding, “I love Adam, he’s amazing. I’m so happy to be working with him and his team.”
The third season of The Voice premiers September 10th on NBC. The Voice will be airing twice during the 2012-2013 season, both in the fall and spring.
