Naomi Campbell shows us why she is still a woman in demand in these hot new images for Givenchy Jeans. The legendary runway model and actress of Lee Daniels‘ “STAR” is flirting with the camera and looks absolutely “divalicious” in the black and white pictures.

She is joined by fashion’s newest sensation—Justin Levy, who serves as the other face of the iconic denim brand.  Campbell posted some of the images on her Instagram page this week with a message to Givenchy Creative Director Riccardo Tisci:

“#I love you @riccardotisci17 thank you for always pushing me out of my comfort zone for another great project…”

Givenchy picks Erykah Badu as 2014 Brand Ambassador for Spring-Summer Campaign

Posted by | Ray Cornelius

The “high priestess of soul” is now the new face of high fashion!

Erykah Badu has been picked by Givenchy as its new Brand Ambassador for the 2014 Spring-Summer campaign. The big announcement was made yesterday by the French haute couture’s creative director Riccardo Tisci, who called the Grammy winning singer-songwriter an “icon” according to

“Erykah, she’s an icon—come on!  She’s one of the most stylish women I’ve met in my life. She’s got such a good sense of proportion, of colors.”

Badu2.jpg56TheGrio is reporting that  Badu has already shot photos for the women’s wear collection, which has already been described as a “crash between African and Japanese cultures mixed with Haute Couture technigues.”

In addition to all the fan fare, Badu’s position as the face  of a high end fashion house is a major move for women of color who have been misrepresented on runways. Apparently, that is something that Tisci wanted to change and choosing the 40-something-year old singer was the first step in that direction.

“I discovered a lot of black girls, and I’ve been always supporting them,” he shared, adding: “At the end of the day, why are not so many black girls or Latin girls in shows? When you have an American president who is black! When I see this happening, it’s quite sad, I think. People can be so avant-garde, so advanced, but actually not, because people are still making differences between skin color.”

This is not the first time Badu has represented a major fashion brand. She was also the face for Tom Ford’s Patchouli perfume in 2008.
