Netflix has released the sexy new trailer for Season 2 of it’s popular dramatic series, She’s Gotta Have It and baaabbbbyyy it-is-hot!

This new season offers a timely and topical portrait of rising talents, with free-spirited artist Nola Darling (DeWanda Wise) at the center. Struggling with newfound success this season, against a backdrop of black art and culture, Nola must decide if she will remain true to her creative ideals or give in to the corporate world.  Her journey of self-discovery helps transform the lives of those around her, including friend and sometimes lover Mars Blackmon (Anthony Ramos), who sets out to pursue his true passion of music as well as her inner circle of Opal (Ilfenesh Hadera), Greer Childs (Cleo Anthony), Jamie Overstreet (Lyriq Bent), Clorinda Bradford (Margot Bingham), Shemekka Epps (Chyna Layne) and Winnie Win (Fat Joe). Their journey expands to new destinations this season beyond their home base of Fort Greene, the vibrant Brooklyn enclave, that continues to evolve and change as gentrification remakes the neighborhood.

SWV to kick off TV One’s ‘UNSUNG’ on Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. (VIDEO)

Posted by | Ray Cornelius

My favorite music show, “UNSUNG” is back for another amazing season on TV One beginning Wednesday January 4th at 8 p.m. Now in its 10th season, “UNSUNG” returns with an explosive premiere that you don’t want to miss and chronicles the rise and fall of R&B girl group Sisters With Voices better known as SWV.

Mixing celestial gospel harmonies with street swagger, SWV brought an edgy sound to female R&B groups that helped define the ‘90s decade. The group’s members—Coko, Taj and LeLee—became staples on the music scene with such hit records as “Weak,” “Right Here/Human Nature,” and “So Into To You.” Other artists featured on the new season include hip hop giant Fat Joe, blue-eyed soul singer Jon B., R&B veteran Lenny Williams, 90’s recording artists Case and Dave Hollister, R&B trio After 7 and the Godfather of Soul—James Brown.

“Unsung’s in-depth first-person interviews, the participation of family and friends, the attention to detail invested into sharing each artist’s story and, of course, the music are the staples that have made this series ‘Must-See TV,’” says TV One President Brad Siegel. “We have a loyal viewing audience who can attest to the fact that once you watch five minutes, you’ll hear something about your favorite artist you didn’t know before and then you’re hooked! There is the reason that after 129 episodes and nine seasons Unsung is still TV One’s most anticipated series.”

Check out the full “UNSUNG” schedule below: SWV on Jan. 4, Fat Joe on Jan. 11, Jon B. on Jan. 18 and Lenny Williams on Jan. 25, SWVCase on Feb. 1, Dave Hollister on Feb. 8, After 7 on Feb. 15 and James Brown on Feb. 22.

Filmmaker extraordinaire Datari Turner is taking on the world of high fashion in a new drama titled, Supermodel.
