RHOA’s Cynthia Bailey hosts ATL Screening of ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ [PHOTOS]

Posted by | Ray Cornelius

Last night, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey hosted a private screening in Atlanta of Fifty Shades Freed – the final movie in the Fifty Shades trilogy. You may remember, Cynthia is a fan of the franchise and hosted a #50ShadesofCynthia party for her 50th birthday celebration last February.

A number of her celebrity friends were also in attendance including her RHOA co-stars Eva Marcille and Shamea Morton as well as Quad Webb-Lunceford, Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Dr. Contessa Metcalfe from Married to Medicine.

Bailey was also joined by a few shirtless “Mr. Greys,” who posed with the ladies all night.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades Freed, the climactic chapter based on the worldwide bestselling Fifty Shades phenomenon.  Bringing to a shocking conclusion events set in motion in 2015 and 2017’s blockbuster films that grossed almost $950 million globally, the film arrives for Valentine’s Day 2018.

Believing they have left behind shadowy figures from their past, newlyweds Christian and Ana fully embrace an inextricable connection and shared life of luxury.  But just as she steps into her role as Mrs. Grey and he relaxes into an unfamiliar stability, new threats could jeopardize their happy ending before it even begins.

Also returning from prior Fifty Shades entries are Academy Award® winner Marcia Gay Harden, Eric Johnson, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Jennifer Ehle, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini, Callum Keith Rennie, Bruce Altman and Robinne Lee.

Fifty Shades Freed is directed by Fifty Shades Darker’s James Foley (Fear, House of Cards) and once again produced by Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and Marcus Viscidi, alongside E L James, the creator of the culture-spanning blockbuster series.  The screenplay is by Niall Leonard, based on the novel by James.

First up is “Miss Me This Christmas,” starring Erica Ash, Redaric Williams, Eva Marcille, Allen Maldonado and Nathan Davis Jr.  Regina (Ash) and Franklin (Williams) celebrated a fairytale Christmas wedding three years ago and seemed to have it all. Yet, now their marriage is on the rocks. When Franklin comes home at dawn after a night of partying with colleagues, Regina thinks he has cheated on her with his ex-girlfriend. Though Franklin denies it, the trust has been broken. The couple separates and the divorce is set to be finalized on their three-year anniversary.

Depressed and ready to drink her way through the holidays, Regina’s free-spirited best friend Trish McDonald (Marcille) intervenes. To cheer her up, the sneaker empire heiress drags Regina off to her place, a luxurious suite at The Chesterton. Franklin still loves Regina and wants to reconcile. But, when Regina accepts a hasty marriage proposal from millionaire tech entrepreneur Ulysses Danburg (Maldonado), Franklin fears he’ll never win her back. Eva Marcille’s ‘FIRST AVE’ Eyewear honors late friend Stephanie Moseley [PHOTOS]

Written by | Ray Cornelius

When model and actress Eva Marcille set out to launch her new line of eyewear there was one person that stood out the most in her creative process and that was her “bestie” and beloved dancer Stephanie Moseley.

The America’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 winner launched her “FIRST AVE” Eyewear Collection Saturday night in Atlanta’s trendy Castleberry Hills district and says that the line of spectacles are a nod to her late friend, who was killed by her husband in a murder-suicide in 2014.

“The inspiration behind my brand are actually my best friends, the people that inspire me in life. I’m pretty funky and unique in my styles but I wanted to make sure my collection encompasses everybody and different energies and styles and swags. So I kinda look to the people that I love the most and kinda embodied their swag into each pair of shades. Those that I wore tonight are the ‘Moseleys.’ It’s in honor of my girlfriend Stephanie Moseley, who passed away and is now my guardian angel,” said Marcille about the popular dancer who last appeared on VH1’s “Hit the Floor” series.

“FIRST AVE”  includes an array of black, gold, silver, pink, blue and green shades that Marcille feels will also compliment any and all skin tones.

“I’m naturally drawn to gold and I think there’s something about skin tones and gold that go really well together.”

Marcille’s “FIRST AVE” is a partnership with Atlanta’s own Tiffany Williams, owner of EyeCandy Creations LLC, and the brains behind “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Cynthia Bailey‘s hugely successful, Cynthia Bailey Eyewear. For Williams, the collaboration with Marcille has almost been like a second marriage.

“I told my husband that I hope he knows that Eva and I are one. (LOL) No really, the collaboration has been amazing and I’m so blessed to have her in my life. A lot of celebrities can put their name on anything and not push the brand and are not passionate about the brand but Eva has been just the opposite and that is what has been so refreshing and beautiful.”
