Two months ago, RC reported that Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey had entered a partnership where Perry would provide OWN Network with programming. Well, it looks as if things are moving forward as planned.
Indie Wire is reporting that Lady O has requested two comedy series from Perry. The new shows include “The Have and the Have Nots,” a drama about the dynamics of an affluent family and the impoverished family of their housekeeper and the obstacles and secrets between the two.
The second show “Love Thy Neighbor” is a comedy set at Love’s Diner, where food, fun and friendships are formed between the locals. The number of episodes for each show is unknown right now as well as any information on casting.
Production for both projects begins next year with debuts in mid-2013.
