Here are just a few stories making headlines in music today…

Diddy is coming to prime time television! The hip-hop mogul has scored a deal with ABC for a new comedy series that is based on the life of his assistant, Sarah Snedeker. The project is titled, The Hustle and is being described as “a small-town girl who lands a job working as an assistant to a street-educated billionaire business mogul where she is instantly thrown into a foreign world of extravagance, debauchery and adventure.” Diddy will serve as the show’s executive director.  [SHADOW AND ACT]

The Soul Train Awards return to Las Vegas November 5-7 for three days of musical madness. Reportedly, the weekend will open with a Welcome Back Party on Friday followed by the Award Show on Saturday at the Orleans Arena and a concert on Sunday featuring R. Kelly, Babyface and Common. Look for the show to air November 10 at 8 p.m. on CENTRIC. [SINGER’S ROOM]

What do Grammy winning-vocalists Alicia Keys, John Legend and Usher have in common? They will all take part in a tribute to jazz and pop music legend Frank Sinatra. The show is an all-start salute to what would have been Sinatra’s 100th Birthday. Other artists scheduled to perform include Carrie Underwood, Tony Bennett, Adam Levine and more. Sinatra 100 An All-Star Grammy Concert airs Sunday, December 6 at 9 p.m. on CBS. [USA TODAY]
