The National Black Arts Festival (NBAF) held its 8th Annual Fine Art + Fashion event Thursday night at Neiman Marcus – Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta’s Buckhead district.

This year’s fundraiser recognized the enduring legacy of Atlanta’s own Hank Aaron and his wife Billye Aaron as well as jewelry designer Victor Velyan and visual artists Deborah Willis and Shelia Pree Bright.

In addition, Fine Art + Fashion also recognized three student designers as 2014 Emerging Talent Awardees. Established in 2010 by the late Sandra Anderson Baccus, this honor recognizes individuals of African descent who have distinguished themselves as cutting edge and innovative fashion design students. This year’s honorees included Danielle Gordon (Clark Atlanta University), Kendra Pinkney and Jessica Fulks (Savannah College of Art + Design).
