Deadline is confirming that Bruno Mars will headline the 2014 Pepsi Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show.
According to the site, Mars confirmed the news this morning as a guest on NFL Sunday. The Grammy-winning singer will perform on Sunday, February 2 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
“It’s just an honor,” Mars said as the news was announced during Fox’s live pregame show at Times Square. “We just got off tour, so being able to come to New York City and announce this is incredible.”
Mars will join the ranks of music heavyweights such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, U2, Rolling Stones and of course Mrs. Beyoncé Carter, who performed at this year’s game.
Congratulations Bruno!
