Move over Sheards, there is a new gospel music family coming to prime time.
Bounce TV announced today that its gearing up for the premiere its first original non-scripted series titled, Forever Jones. According to the press release, the new reality series will delve deeper into the lives and challenges of the close-knit, faith-based family and gospel group, foreverJONES. The show is set in the family’s hometown of Shreveport, LA, and will air Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m. beginning June 5th.
“Every family faces challenges, but Forever Jones spotlights a dynamic, highly relatable, loving and positive-energy family, who also happen to be a well-known band striving for success,” said Billy Hall, EVP of Programming and Production for Bounce TV. “This series will provide real-world positive role models that our viewers hunger for, and is a perfect fit for our brand.”
The family band first came to prominence in the gospel music genre after their smash hit single, “He Wants it All.” The song received a coveted Stellar Award and was nominated for a Grammy and Dove Award respectively.
The show was inspired by the family’s hugely successful Bounce TV original special, A Forever Jones Holiday. Forever Jones is presented by Walmart.
Bounce TV is the nation’s first-ever broadcast television network for African-Americans and features an eclectic mix of motion pictures, original series, specials and events, live sports, off-net series, documentaries and faith-based programming .
