CONGRATS to the cast of Disney’s upcoming movie, “A Wrinkle in Time.” Mattel, the makers of Barbie, are releasing dolls based on the three characters played by Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling. The actresses portray Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Who, respectively in the film. Award winning director, Ava DuVernay, posted an image of the dolls on social media recently with the following caption:
“When Disney makes Barbies of your movie’s characters and you just want to stare at them all day in disbelief because you loved Barbies as a girl but never had any like these. #WrinkleinTime”
“Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time,” is an epic adventure based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. Through one girl’s transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one’s individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one’s own light.
The film stars also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Peňa, Storm Reid, Levi Miller, Deric McCabe, Zach Galifianakis and Chris Pine.
