Oscar winning actress Octavia Spencer is teaming up with Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain for a new Universal comedy.
According to THR, the untitled film centers on two women who hope to make it home for Christmas and is being compared to the John Candy and Steve Martin classic 80’s film “Planes, Trains and Automobiles.” Chastain worked on the film’s treatment and the script is being written by Peter Chiarelli.
This will be the ladies first time together on the big screen since “The Help.”
Chastain just appeared in Jay Z’s Ava DuVernay directed video “Family Feud” and Spencer is up for a few awards for her portrayal in “The Shape of Water.”
