The Urban League of Greater Atlanta is gearing up to honor actress and philanthropist Keshia Knight-Pulliam at this year’s 6th Annual Spirit of the League Awards Luncheon. The ceremony will take place on Friday, June 17 at 12 p.m. at Atlantic Station’s Twelve Hotel.

The Spirit of the League Awards Luncheon is designed to recognize individuals who have exhibited the “Spirit of the Urban League Movement” by overcoming significant challenges in their lives to go on to achieve success and give back to the community. The goal of the awards program is to inspire individuals in the community who may be facing challenging times to be motivated to achieve their highest human potential and take control of their lives and make positive sustainable changes with the support of community organizations and resources.

The newly married Pulliam will be recognized for her outstanding career as a television and film actress as well as her foundation, Kamp Kizzy, which empowers the lives and spirits of girls and young women.

Last year’s awards ceremony honored TV, film and Broadway star Keke Palmer!
