R&B Diva Kelly Price showed Atlanta why she’s been nominated for seven Grammy Awards last night during an intimate performance at The Real Love Music Experience. The musical extravaganza takes place every Tuesday evening at T.I.’s swanky restaurant Scales 925.

Price performed a medley of her greatest hits including “You Should Have Told Me,” the Shirley Murdock classic “As We Lay” and the remixed version of “Friend of Mine” where she hand picked an audience member to sing the R. Kelly part while the crowd sung the Ronald Isley part. The show also featured a variety of other Atlanta-based vocalists.

Price, who will be celebrating her 24th year in entertainment next year, encouraged the aspiring singers to continue pursuing their dreams and to remain faithful over other entertainer’s “stuff.” Price was an in-demand background singer for George Michael, Mariah Carey and Aretha Franklin, before she launched her solo career in 1998. She’s also collaborated with other industry greats such as the late Whitney Houston and Notorius B.I.G.
