Check out comedic actress Melissa McCarthy in a new movie coming to theaters April 6, 2016 titled, The Boss.
In the film, McCarthy plays Michelle Darnelle, “the wealthiest women in America,” who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.
The film also stars Kristin Bell, Kathy Bates, Peter Dinklage and more. Outside of being hilariously funny, The Boss was shot in Atlanta. I would know, because it was filmed right in front of the Dunbar Learning Center in my neighborhood of Mechanicsville. I saw the “movie trucks” on my way to an event one day and asked the production assistant about it. He told me who was starring in it and that it would be released soon. I’m so excited to see the final product.
