Black Music Month is about four months away but it already feels like were celebrating in the Atlanta.  A number of R&B, Soul and Jazz acts coming to town that you don’t want to miss.  Check out who’s COMING TO THE STAGE below:

AVERY*SUNSHINE will appear at Atlanta’s Center Stage on Friday, February 27 at 9 p.m. Sunshine is without a doubt one of the most dynamic voices on the
creative music scene, known for her invigorating and combustible live
performances, compelling and revealingly honest song writing and impeccable
instrument.  The earthy and charming singer has worked with everyone from Michael Buble to Jennifer Holiday and is currently performing hits from her current album, The SunRoom. [Click here for tickets]

LUKE JAMES is a Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter who truly embodies the honesty and fresh, organic soulfulness that’s been in relatively short supply of late in contemporary music. The New Orleans native has written songs for Chris Brown, Justin Beiber, Britney Spears and opened for Beyoncé during her Mrs. Carter’s World Tour. I’ve seen James in concert three times and he never disappoints. He takes over The Loft along with George Tandy, Jr., RO James and BJ The Chicago Kid on Monday, March 2 at 8 p.m. [Click here for tickets]

JOSÉ JAMES burst on the music scene with his D’Angelo-esque album “No Beginning No End”. Now the vocalist, who doesn’t want to be categorized, is back with a new project, Yesterday I Had the Blues—The Music of Billie Holiday.  He returns to Variety Playhouse for an intimate evening of song along with drummer Brandon Williams on Saturday, April 4 at 8 p.m. [Click here for tickets]
