Turn Down For What?
Lifetime’s überly popular fashion competition series, Project Runway is back for its 13th season and features a new crop of aspiring African-American designers that are determined to make it work!
Detroit’s Char Glover and Brooklyn’s Jefferson Musanda and Nzinga Knight are among the 18 newbies vying for the $100K cash prize from Red Robin, a sewing and crafting studio, a fashion spread in Marie Claire and the opportunity to present at NYC Fashion Week.
Season 12 favorite, Ken “You Outta Order” Laurence may also have another shot at this year’s competition as part of the #RunwayRedemption Instagram campaign. This contest allows PR fans to vote for their favorite designer and secure them a spot on this year’s show. Laurence is competing against Season 12’s Alexander Pope and Season 11’s Amanda Valentine. Also returning are host and judge Heidi Klum along with Nina Garcia, Zac Posen and fashion mentor Tim Gunn, who will once again have the opportunity to save a designer from elimination.
