Who knew that Erykah Badu was such a practical jokester. The Grammy-winning R&B/Soul singer recently tried to plant a wet one on NYC PIX11 reporter, Mario Diaz during his live 5 o’clock newscast.
According to PEOPLE, Diaz was in the middle of his report when Badu photo bombed his broadcast, wearing a huge white hat a la Pharrell Williams. Realizing she was on camera she turned around and then tried to kiss Diaz only to get pushed out of the way. Not realizing who she was Diaz continued with his report.
Badu later apologized to Diaz via Twitter and Diaz responded with lyrics from Prince’s classic record “Kiss.”
“Ain’t no particular sign I’m more compatible with I just want your extra time and your….. kiss”
