Billboard is reporting that rising hip-hop star Kid Cudi and rapper/actor Childish Gambino have been added to the Outkast #ATLast Concert. The one-day festival as it is being called will be held on Saturday, September 27 in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park.
“Dream come true opening for Outkast, holy fu-k lets go!” Cudi said Wednesday morning on Twitter.
André 3000 and Big Boi announced the show last week as part of the on-going 20th anniversary celebration of their debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. The dynamic duo of rap announced in January that they were only playing 40 dates this year which began with the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and also includes next week’s BET Awards in Los Angeles.
“It’s only right that we give the hometown what we’ve been giving the rest of the world, Atliens in ATL, homecoming! Festival Killers!,” said Big Boi in a statement. Andre 3000 added, “Coming from Atlanta gave us the freedom to be whatever we ever wanted to be because no one was paying attention. Now that everyone is, we want to say thank you.”
Tickets went on sale this week and from what the streets are saying, are pretty much SOLD OUT!
Stay tuned as more acts will continue to be announced…
