Last month, we teased fans with the first poster for Denzel Washington’s new role as The Equalizer. Now a first trailer has been released of the Oscar-winning actor battling the Russian mafia in what is sure to be another hit film.
As previously reported, The Equalizer stars Washington as a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston. When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall’s desire for justice is reawakened.
The film version is directed by Antoine Fuqua and is based on the popular 80’s TV series of the same name and starred the late Edward Woodard in the title role.
