Holler If You Hear Me is Broadway’s newest musical and is inspired by the lyrics of hip-hop icon, Tupac Shakur. The show, which begins previews in June, is directed by Tony nominated-director Kenny Leon and stars multi-faceted actor, poet and musician Saul Williams, Tony Award-winning actress Tonya Pinkins and Motown: The Musical’s Saycon Sengbloh.
As previously reported, Holler If Ya Hear Me is a story about friendship, family, revenge, change, hope and the inner city lives struggling for peace against the daily challenges they face. Through the poetry of one of the 20th century’s most influential and culturally prominent voices, we are given a window into realities of the streets that is still relevant today.
