Move over Real Housewives of Atlanta and watch out Married to Medicine, The New Atlanta is coming to the small tube this fall. Bravo’s fifth Atlanta based reality-series is set to follow Nene Leakes spin-off show, I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding this fall.
According to THR, the new unscripted show stars Alexandra Dilworth, Emily Lipman, Africa Miranda, Tribble Reese and Jevon “Vawn” Sims, six sexy, single strangers busy in various professional but able to find common ground in Atlanta’s buzzing social scene.
Shari Levine, Bravo Media senior vp current productions says the show’s younger cast is indicative to the city’s hot new vibe.
“Much of the cast is 10 years younger, they’re single, they’re active in their careers. There is so much personality to that city, and the people really reflect that.”
The New Atlanta, which was previously called Taking Atlanta, will join the ranks of RHOA and Married to Medicine, two high rating shows that gave Bravo its most watched night in April.
“Atlanta last season was just amazing,” says Levine. “The first part of the reunion was the highest-rated ever [2.9 million viewers in adults 18-to-49 and 4.3 million viewers] for any of the franchise. It’s an amazing cast.”
