Alicia Keys graces the cover of MARIE CLAIRE UK, July 2013 issue

Alicia Keys jetted off to the Bahamas for an exclusive cover story for the July issue of Marie Claire UK…

The superstar singer was in the Caribbean islands with a team of photographers, stylists and make-up artists for a wonderful fashion shoot.  Keys (lensed by Yu Tsai) was seen striking a series of poses in designer looks from Gucci, Diane von Furstenberg, Versace and Just Cavalli.

She even revealed which one she loved most:

I think my favorite look is this beautiful animal print Gucci dress, I loved the way that  it fell, it felt, like, elegant but at the same time fun, so I think that’s my favorite look. Oh, and also that DVF yellow jumpsuit!

‘You have to speak up. To say, ‘I don’t like that, it’s not cool, don’t do that  to me’, but it’s not easy, especially with people you love. I think getting older has made me evolve in a lot of ways and made me more relaxed about saying  how I feel, no matter what.’

‘Honestly I didn’t really like him (husband Swizz Beatz) that much. I thought he was too
ostentatious,’ the songstress explained.

‘Swizz will have the fastest car, the biggest jewelry, the loudest jacket; everything
with him is really over the top. I used to see him and think, “He is so annoying“.’

‘I think we’ve taught each other a lot,’ she says of her husband. ‘He’s taught me to live more fully and I think I’ve taught him to live more deeply.’
