Beyoncé is gearing up for a film role of “Epic” proportions!
As previously reported, The Grammy-winning singer signed on last year as the voice of Queen Tara in this summer’s animated film, Epic.
According to BET, she will be voicing a character that protects the forest and is the source of its magic as a teen girl finds herself in the middle of a fight between good and evil.
“I’ve always imagined being in an animated film. I’ve always wanted to be a queen,” she said.
“Queen Tara is important in Epic,” Beyoncé continued. “She has preserved the natural beauty of her world and the safety of her people.”
Beyoncé joins a list of Hollywood who’s who including Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson and Steven Tyler.
Epic lands in theaters May 24.
