Happy Birthday FLOTUS!
For her birthday, the social media-savvy First Lady got a new Twitter account. At @FLOTUS, Michelle’s staff promises to tweet updates and photos, with the occasional tweet from Mrs. Obama herself.
Her handle, @FLOTUS, jumped to more than 15,000 followers in the two hours after it sent its first tweet Thursday morning, and the number continues to climb.
Their second tweet read, “The First Lady just met with Inaugural citizen co-chair David Hall ahead of #MLKDay of Service: http://www.2013pic.org/service“, and featured a picture of Michelle Obama rocking what appears to be a fresh set of bangs.
Mrs. Obama’s staff will manage the account. Tweets sent by the social media-savvy First Lady herself will be signed “-mo.”
