Yesterday, the children of Newtown, Connecticut’s Sandy Hook Elementary returned to school for the first time since the tragedy. As the town and the nation is still mourning the loss of the victims, R&B legend R. Kellly penned/released a song in their honor.
I have to be honest, I cried listening to the words of the song entitled I Know You Are Hurting – so I felt compelled to share it with RC fans. The lyrics are quite moving: “I know you’re hurting / I hear you crying / But come tomorrow / There’s a place you can go…”
R. Kelly doesn’t actually sing, (he did write, produce and arrange the track) instead a children’s choir sings the lyrics.
