USA Network sports drama “Necessary Roughness” is returning for its third season but with fewer episodes.
The series which stars Mechad Brook’s as Terrance “TK” King “has not been the breakout hit that the network hoped it would be, though it has posted solid ratings and performs extremely well with DVR viewers,” according to Deadline.com.
With that in mind, the network has only ordered 10 episodes instead of the 12 it ordered for the first season and the 16 it ordered for season two. Also, look for “Necessary Roughness” to premiere a five-episode winter season run beginning on Jan. 23, 2012 instead of its usual summer time debut.
