Thirty-four year old ‘Modern Matchmaker’ Paul Carrick Brunson has a new show on OWN uniquely entitled, Lovetown, USA where he helps singles find love. The relationship coach will also release a new book entitled It’s Complicated (But It Doesn’t Have To Be): A Modern Guide to Finding and Keeping Love on October 11.
Oprah Winfrey tasked Brunson (a former investment banker) with the job of transforming Kingsland, Georgia into Lovetown, USA. The goal of the show is to mend relationships of embattled friends and lovers in the town, and to find true love for the singles in Kingsland.
Paul a.k.a “The Real Hitch” sat down with EXTRA to talk about embarking upon this social experiment. He emphasized his gratefulness in being able to work with Winfrey and advised the show is more than a reality show. It’s designed to help the community and the people living in the Kingsland area to spread more love, share more love and give more love with the people that matter to them.
