Looks like Mary J. Blige has some unexpected “drama” going on with her New Jersey residence.

According to THP, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul and her husband, Martin Kendu Issacs have a $3.4 million tax lien on their Cresskill, New Jersey home. The couple’s sprawling property is located 15 miles north of New York City.

Apparently, the IRS filed a notice of a lien on the home last February 7, just two days before Blige was honored at a pre-Grammy party in L.A. presented by VIBE. The court documents show that Blige owed more than $574,000 for the 2009 tax year and more than $2.2 million for 2010. It also says that she owes $647,000 for 2011.

A representative for Blige says that “she is working with her new team to resolve all these issues as quickly as possible.”
