Billy Porter, Wendy Williams and more to receive Stars on The Hollywood Walk of Fame

CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Tony Award-winning actor Billy Porter, media maven Wendy Williams, Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter and beloved comedian Dave Chappelle. All four of them will be receiving a star on the coveted “Hollywood Walk of Fame” in 2020.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced their names recently along with a host of other African American entertainers including Alicia Keys, Curtis “50 Cent Jackson,” Terry Crews, Octavia Spencer, Spike Lee, Laurence Fishburne and Mahershala Ali.

Blues icon Muddy Waters will receive his posthumously.

Dates have not been set for ceremonies.

“The Walk of Fame Selection Committee is pleased to announce our newest honorees to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This year’s choices were particularly unique. We were able to recognize the talents of thirty-five artists who have already built a legacy here in Hollywood,” remarked Selection Committee Chair and Walk of Famer Vin Di Bona.  “Also, we were able to celebrate many new talented artists who’ve touched our hearts in film, television, radio and a variety of musical categories” he added.
