The other day I posted that I had some pretty exciting news to share with you guys so here it goes! Yours truly, Ray Cornelius, is teaming up with Atlanta’s Jazz station, Jazz 91.9 WCLK, for a brand new 30-minute radio program titled, “UPFRONT.”
The NPR show will premiere next Saturday, August 6 at 9 a.m. and takes an in-depth look at Atlanta’s arts and entertainment industry including TV, film, theater, music and more. I will be conducting one-on-one interviews with all of the major players and the behind-the-scenes influencers that make ATL, the new Hollywood South.
Jazz 91.9 WCLK is an National Public Radio (NPR) station that is licensed to Clark Atlanta University and has been a staple in the city for over 42 years. It is Atlanta’s only station that serves the best in “classic, cool and contemporary” jazz music. It also provides thought provoking news and public affairs programming through “The Local Take” hosted by Kiplyn Primus and “The Tavis Smiley Show.” I am super excited to be producing and hosting this original program from the WCLK studios. It’s a show that I pray will encourage and inspire those to follow their dreams whether it’s being on stage or behind the camera. I look forward to updating you more about it over the next week.
Remember, “UPFRONT – Inside Atlanta’s Entertainment Industry” premieres next Saturday, August 6 at 9 a.m. EST on Jazz 91.9 WCLK and online at WCLK.com.
