They don’t call her Queen B for nothing!
Beyoncé can now add another feather in her bejeweled cap. According to Apple, the 32-year-old megastar has sold a record 828,733 copies of her fifth album, Beyoncé in a matter of three days.
As you recall, the “Crazy in Love” singer secretly dropped the long-awaited album at midnight on last Friday sans record promotions and marketing. The extremely sexy project features 14 songs along with 17 full-length videos and was available exclusively on iTunes. Single sales from the album will be available on December 21. These historic numbers also place Bey as the “highest-debuting female artist of the year” beating out contemporaries like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
In addition, VIBE is also reporting that Beyoncé has already picked the first three lead singles from the album which include the Pharrell Williams’ produced track “Blow” along with my personal favorite, “Drunk in Love” featuring hubby Jay Z and “XO” which she performed for the first time this weekend.
